Duke Robillard "Stomps" The Blues

Here's a brand new September 2009 Interview with blues guitarist extrordinaire Duke Robillard. For 40 years now, Duke's been one of the most respected, and prolific, guitarists in the genre. In this interview, we chat about Duke's new record "Stomp The Blues Tonight," as well as a host of other great topics. Some of those topics include Duke's current guitars and amps, his work as an in-demand producer (and how he got the bug to start producing), and his unmistakeable swinging vibe which he's cultivated down to a science at this point. Duke's done it all in the business - he's been a member of The Fabulous Thunderbirds (replacing Jimmie Vaughan), co-founded the legendary Roomful of Blues, and worked as a sideman to greats such as Bob Dylan and Ruth Brown. We chat about all this as well. Make sure you check out Duke's website for more on the new record as well as Duke's huge back catalog of music at www.dukerobillard.com. Thanks so much to Duke for the chat - he's truly one of the most dedicated musicians working today.
