Step Inside Damon Fowler's "Sugar Shack"

Here's a brand new May 2009 interview with Florida based roots artist Damon Fowler. Damon's got a fantastic new CD out on Blind Pig Records titled "Sugar Shack" - which is the main topic of the conversation. Damon goes in depth on the recording, song selection, and even his guitar tone. Speaking of guitar - Damon's a monster on the instrument. His playing is woven into the fabric of the songs - i.e. he plays for the song, not for the show. He laces his music with haunting slide leads, funky blues runs, and even dobo. Other topics here include a little of Damon's history, his past releases (one of which was produced by Rick Derringer, as well as his live shows. Thanks to Damon for the chat - he was truly a great guy to talk with. Also special thanks to Debra at Blind Pig Records for setting it all up. Make sure you visit Damon's website at www.damonfowler.com for all his latest tour dates and updated info. Also for more on "Sugar Shack" check out www.blindpigrecords.com.
