Jason McMaster On Broken Teeth's "Viva La Rock Fantastico"
Here's a new March 2010 interview with vocalist Jason McMaster from Broken Teeth. The Texas rockers have unleashed one monster of an album called "Viva La Rock Fantastico," which can be descibed as an AC/DC foundation with a punk spirit and full-on metal overtones - it flat out rocks. Jason talks in depth about the record -from writing to recording, as well as the band itself, including the history of Broken Teeth. Jason also talks about making music in his homebase of Austin, Texas, and the musical community that thrives there. Other topics of discussion include the still touring Dangerous Toys, Jason's other projects, including the power metal band Ignitor, as well as his thoughts on music in general. Make sure you check out Broken Teeth's "Viva La Rock Fantastico" - it notably features a guest spot by Danko Jones, who at the time of the interview had just finished shooting a video for the record's title track with Broken Teeth in Texas. Crushing, cathartic, sonically intense rock 'n roll, Broken Teeth are truly a force of nature. Thanks to Jason for the chat, and look him up at www.brokenteeth.com.
