Tommy Castro's Legendary Rhythm & Blues Revue Hits Sellersville, PA

Here's a new March 2010 interview with soul-shakin' bluesman Tommy Castro. Castro, will be playing the Sellersville Theater in Sellersville, PA - not far from my homebase of the Poconos, on April 2nd. If you're anywhere near the area, plan on checking it out, because it's a good-time, hip-shakin' party. In this interview, Tommy chats about his latest record, 2009's "Hard Believer," which is nominated for a bevy of Blues Music Awards this year - nothing new for Tommy. We go through the mechanics of the record, the writing, his choice of covers (Dylan's "You've Gotta Serve Somebody" is a standout)as well as talk about Tommy's history on the San Francisco Bay Area scene, his band, and his soulful party that is this current Rhythm & Blues Revue tour. Along for the ride with Tommy on this run are Joe Louis Walker, and Debbie Davies, the two of which Tommy says will be joining him onstage for a fiery jam or two during the show. Make sure you check Tommy's website for more upcoming dates at www.tommycastro.com. Tommy is the real deal, an ultra-cool musician and an even cooler guy to talk to - one of the nicest guys in the biz. Special thanks to Marc at Alligator Records for hooking up the chat.
