Here's a new July 2012 interview with guitarist Tracii Guns. In this 30-minute interview, Tracii talks about his new band, Tracii Guns' League Of Gentlemen. Tracii and the band are heading out on the road this fall, with an album to follow - of which Tracii says should be nearing final mixes by the time touring starts. The band's sound is rooted in classic 70's-era, bluesy hard rock - definitely a trippy vibe to it. Tracii talks in depth about the players involved, writing and recording with the band, and his thoughts on how this band differs from his previous musical experiences. Tracii also reveals that he's done with his version of L.A. Guns, which last released the acoustic disc "Acoustic Gypsy" in 2011 with Jizzy Pearl on vocals. While he's fully moving ahead both personally and creatively, Tracii takes some time to talk about one of my favorite past projects he's been involved with - Brides Of Destruction - a band that featured Tracii and Nikki Sixx among others, releasing two amazing records in 2004 and 2005. Some other topics of conversation include experiences from L.A. Guns' most successful period during the 1988-1992 era, his thoughts on guitar tones and equipment, and hits and misses of the music biz. Thanks so much to Tracii for the terrific chat, he's a funny, knowledgeable guy to talk music with.
